I started going to shows regularly when I joined Pitt-Johnstown's radio station and became the Music Director as a junior. Since then, I've seen a little over 300 different artists in nearly a dozen cities. Photography is a newer hobby but one that I've always had interest in. I finally broke down and bought a professional camera and started practicing at all the venues that would let me bring it in.
One of the greatest music blogs in the biz today, The Grey Estates (which happens to be ran from the bedroom of a great hometown gal) was looking for volunteer photographers and I quickly sent her an email. It's a dream come true for a music lover whose college degree is nowhere near photography.
If you're a band coming through Pittsburgh and would like me to photograph you, or you're an artist/venue whose photos I've posted and would like to use, please email me! Since it's just a hobby, I wouldn't expect anything in return - I would just love knowing that they're being shared! I have limited space on this website so I have many, many more pictures on my hard drive that I'd be happy to send you.
